Are there jobs out there just for Coding? It seems as the years go by working for an Acute care hospital I see more and more of a Coder doing the job of Pt access, clinical departments, charge entry and billing among others. Billing is a part of Coding but I guess my gripe is that I don't feel like a Coder as much as in the past. I like that I can understand the greater picture but I feel as though I am loosing or maybe not even coding to the best of my ability these days because I am doing "other" duties. Anyone else feel this way? Anyone know of a job that utilizes their Coders as Coders!!!??!!!
