Large Brooklyn-based medical billing company is seeking a Certified Coding and Reimbursement Specialist to supervise and manage operations. Great opportunity for the right candidate.
Requirements for this position are as follows:
-Professional coding certificate
- 5+ years of experience in medical coding and billing
-Knowledge of the ICD-9/CPT coding, medical terminology and payer reimbursement policies and procedures
- Knowledge of medical collections, accounts receivable/payable, insurance verification, pre-authorization and credentialing requirements
-Experience in a managerial position preferred
-Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess strong analytical and organizational skills
- Knowledge in eClinicalWorks preferred
-Candidate should be professional, devoted, and work well in a team environment
Responsibilities for this position are as follows:
-Oversee a staff of 20-30 billing associates to ensure periodic aging reports are completed
-Ensure accurate coding of claims being billed
-Resolve any billing/coding issues or questions
-Communicate with providers to address any concerns regarding coding, reimbursement, etc.
Compensation: Dependent upon experience
