I have a question to anyone that can help. If an MRI without contrast is performed on one day and the patient comes back the following week and has it performed with contrast is it appropriate to bill just one MRI with and without contrast for the same day?

No, that would not be appropriate because the dates of service would be different. You would bill two MRI's.
