Does anyone know what CPT code to use for the "Keller type arthroplasty"?
28285 for IPJ but not sure what to use for MPJ.
-- hallux interphalangeal joint in which the periosteum and capsular tissues were separated
--head of proximal phalanx and base of the intermediate phalanx were
resected with a mini-oscillating saw.
--extensor tendon was dissected out, so as to reduce the tension over the great toe

--Attention was then directed towards the metatarsophalangeal joint,
which was severely contracted. The subcutaneous and periosteal
tissues were reflected back with a #15 blade and a mini-oscillating
saw was utilized to create a Keller-type arthroplasty at the metatarsal phalangeal joint.
-- 0.062 K-wire was then advanced through the base of the intermediate phalanx, across the hallux interphalangeal
pseudoarthrosis site and through the distal aspect of the toe then
retrograded into the first metatarsal to maintain stabilization.
