Wiki king of heart monitor

Hi all

Q: If a patient was given a king of heart monitor, and they did not return the monitor; would you bill for the monitor/equipment? would you bill anything and eat the lost of the equipment? I was not able to find a HCPCS code for the heart monitor.

Not knowing what a "King" heart monitor is since I don't work cardio, I am wondering did you look at the S codes for the equipment?

I would also call the patient's insurance carrier and discuss with their patient "abuse" department and let them know what transpired.
