Hello everyone

I need clarity on Knee Injections E/M billing. Do you bill an E/M code with the follow up visits for injections? My understanding was that I bill the E/M at the initial visit, exit visit, 3 month, and 6 month visits. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

You bill an E&M if an E&M was done. If a patient is coming in for injections, meaning the decision has already been made, then you probably won't have an E&M.
