Wiki Knee scope, chondroplasty & synovectomy

NCCI edits will not allow coding 29875 and 29877, obviously even if performed in separate compartments. What about commercial payers, do most of you follow those same rules and not code the chondroplasty with synovectomy?
 
My AAOS Code X shows I cannot bill a 29875 as primary with a 29877 however if I pull up 29877 as primary I can bill a 29875 59. Since my synovectomy was for median parapatellar plica and the chondroplasty was done for patellar chondromalacia (seperate compartments) can I bill the 29877 as primary and 29875 as secondary procedures

no you cannot bill those together no matter which one you put first. Also, the AAOS Code X shows a delete date on that edit.
