Our physician has started implanting WATCHMAN LAA occluder devices.
Can I bill a 93318 for the TEE guidance to perform the trans-septal puncture and TEE color flow used to demonstrate no flow around the device which determins if the device can be deployed? The main code for the occluder device is 0281T.
 
Nancy, I'm sorry I should have remembered this question when Boston Scientific was at our weekly CV Conference this morning. I don't think this code is appropriate. However, have you tried emailing them? I will try and get the guys contact information from our cv conference coordinator and get it to you. He seemed nice.
