Our doc has scheduled a labioplasty for a patient who has labial aglutination. We are having trouble figuring out which procedure code would be appropriate. Any suggestions out there?

Labio Code

I have been coding for Plastics now for 5 years and have yet to find a Labioplasty code. You could use 15839 (Excision of excess skin- other area). Since this is a cosmetic procedure we never had to worry about coding it and submitting a claim to an insurance co. Good Luck!

I work with a GYN surgery who does a lot of therapuetic plastic vulvar and vaginal surgery. For labial agglutination he is often just lysing adhesions CPT 56441.

If he performs labial reduction it would be the partial vulvectomy code-56620.

For vulvar vestibulitis he removes tissue 56620 and then does an advancement flap 14040.
