Hello Everyone,

I need some help with Labor and Delivery coding, as this is new to our office.

Is it possible to be on an epidural anesthetic while in-house for L&D for 18 hours?

Code 01967 (75 units) was submited for seberate billing by the Anesthesiologist. He gave a time of 3:30 -22:10. Would 75 units be correct? The vaginal delivery was changed to a C-section at 22:33, should an additional code 01968 be used also?

Please help!

Yes 01968 is an add on code.
Use 01968 in conjunction with 01967, when the patient had been followed by cesarean delivery.
