Labor & Delivery Billing for inpatient stays

Good morning,

I am wondering if there is a resource for labor and delivery billing? Unclear how facilities correlate the initial labor and delivery charges with the subsequent inpatient reimbursement, following the delivery. Do they bill per hour for labor & delivery charges? Where can I find this information documented? I would appreciate any help available.
