Hello,

Can somebody please expain to me when you see this what does it mean and how do you code it.

A patient nearly drowned was admitted to the hospital. The doctor ordered q4hr ABG's for 24 hours. How should this be coded? What does q4hr ABG's stand for?

I believe "q4hr ABG's"= Arterial Blood Gases every 4 hours

As for the CPT code...Look at 82800-82810
