Hi,
I am being working as medical coder since from last 9 years, I started my carrier of medical coding in August ending 2016 in INDIA, and I am not getting any single promotion in leadership. I had work with multiple companies. Can anyone guide me how shall I get promotion to Team Leader/Supervisor/manager? I observed that some companies promote young employees but not the senior employees. Experience doesn't matter to some companies because a powerful position is most important. And I deal with a lot of bullies, competitors in my current company as well that always try to harm my carrier. Even employees who are 5 to 8 years younger than me gets promotions, but Nobody is willing to promote me. I am facing Racism, Loneliness, Criticism and people doesn't want to promote me legally. Does AAPC has any look on such matter that what is happening with highly experienced coders? I know some certification of Six Sigma yellow, green, black belt, Lean Six Sigma. But all these need to be done in the respective companies only because except CPC other certifications are not allowed by companies. Such kind of strategies are made so that companies can grow but not the carrier of senior coders. Even a lot of senior coders had Quiet these jobs because of lack of support, in spite of having vast medical knowledge and medical coding experience in multiple processes.
