I am looking for a lactation consultation code. That is all the patient came in for and stated she wanted it billed as a lactation consultation. I have found 2 different codes but my boss does not like either of them. The codes are 98960 and the other is S9443. Any help would be appreciated!!!
 
It would be best to call the payer to determine how they want it billed - each payer may have a different policy on lactation billing...some will recognize the S code while others do not.
