I am hoping for some help with billing S9443- Lactation classes, non-provider, per session. I can not find a consistent definition of what time defines a "session" and if this code is billable to each individual patient that is in the group class. We also noted that per the ACA this is a mandated covered service, but it is not specified if this applies to group or individual visits. It seems that carriers are claiming group visits meet the required coverage. Any info on the topic would be appreciated.
