A lap appy was performed as well as drainage of an intrabdominal abscess. I have read the previous thread where -22 was appended to 44970. Does 44970 include the procedure of the drainage? Diagnosis code is 540.0. There does not seem to be another procedure code listing drainage performed laparoscopically.
