I have a question I am trying to make sure the code I have picked is correct. I have picked code 44204 for a Laparoscopic Partial Colectomy that is all that I know the doctor will be doing. Is this code correct it does have with anastamosis but I dont know if she will be doing that yet. Looking at code to get pre authorization????

I never liked to the pre-authorization process because you never know what the provider is going to find during the procedure and what the final outcome will be.

I would use the 44204 and let them know this is an absolute. It will depend on what the provider performs and the operative indicates.
