Wiki Laterality modifiers with Anesthesia Codes?

Is it appropriate to use modifiers LT, RT or 50 with anesthesia codes? I was taught these modifiers are only used on the procedure codes?
 
I know this is an older post, however, trying to find documentation to support the answer above? Anyone have anything ?
