I understand that left atrial appendage removal is billable with an unlisted code if this is the only procedure that is performed. It would be bundled with a Maze or mitral valve surgery. Can anyone guide me to a similar procedure so I can compare RVU to price the unlisted code??

Our office uses code 33257-52 when only the LAA is performed with open cardiac surgery. Documentation may need to be provided for use of the 52 modifier with some ins companies.
