What is the code for a leg sprain in Icd10?
 
Look at S86.11-, S86.21-, S86,31-, S86.81- there are many choices, you will need more specific documentation other than just leg rain to apply a more specific code.
 
I work in ED coding and this is a very common diagnosis with very little addltl documentation to help you narrow it down. Problem with these codes is that the dx is stated as a "sprain" and since there are separate sprain vs strain codes in I10 it is problematic.Seems to me we will have to go with an other specified injury to muscle of the site.
