Prior to open heart surgery:

"We sterilely prepped and a left subclavian vein Cordis was inserted for placement of a Swan."

They usually bill 36556, because they mention Swan, would that be code 93503 instead?

I get totally confused with line placements...:confused:
 
is this the same surgeon that is doing the open heart procedure? I believe that all lines would be bundled into the open heart procedure,if being done at the same time as the open heart and by the same surgeon, would need more information about who's billing the line, or swan, and why
