I am new to Plastic Surgery coding and have been asked to code for liposuction to bilateral breasts due to asymmetry after breast reconstruction procedures? My initial thought was to code this to 19380-50 but am now wondering if I should not have coded it to 15877. We have previously billed 19380 for this patient for other revisions she needed and the person who does the authorization is concerned that 19380 is a once in a lifetime cpt code. How would you code this and is 19380 a once in a lifetime code?
