Hello all,
I do HCC coding and I'm doing a home assessment. In the assessment, the provider states Liver Failure due to Chemotherapy. How would I code that? Would it be 571.8, or 571.9, or some other code?

Not knowing whether this is an acute or chronic condition I'd go with 570 (acute hepatic failure) and E933.1 (adveres effects of chemo).
