Interested in breaking into the coding field. Have earned my CPC-A but was unable to secure an Externship here in Augusta, GA so I'm lacking work experience. Really would like to gain experience/career in this field. I've been in the Healthcare Administration field for 10+ years.... Insurance Customer Service Agent, Provider Relations, Management, Hospitalists... Any ideas how I could approach an employer without scarring them off b/c of my extensive work experience and educational achievements (I hold a Masters degree)??? Any insight is greatly appreciated.
