From all that I've read I think this code is from the time the first drop of drug falls unil the last drop falls. Can any of you confirm please? Kind of new to this be kind. Thanks so much.
96365 is a time driven code. Technically it is when the drug starts and is stopped, so the documentation requirements need start and stop times. I wouldn't specify to the nurses running the infusion to be so critical as to when the drug starts and last drop falls.
CMS.gov has an excellent manual in there hydration guidelines about what documentation is required.
