Patient had previous Pelvic exenteration w/ileal conduit but the conduit became necrotic and was removed. Patient now had Colon conduit w/bilateral ureteral strictures at the juncture of the colon conduit.

Procedure: Loop Endoscopy with Lt ureteral stent exchange & retrograde pyelogram
Post op dx: Hydronephrosis with ureteral stricture

"The surgeon's hand was placed into the colon conduit stoma and the end of the ureteral stent palpated and removed to the level of the stomal opening. A 0.035 Teflon-coated floppy tip guidewire was passed up the pre existent left ureteral stent under fluoroscopic control into the renal pelvis and the stent was removed over the wire. A French stent was then placed over the wire and internalized after contrast injection confirmed good positioning. At the completion of the procedure loop endoscopy took place using a flexible cystoscope. No lesions or abnormalities were identified. At the conclusion of the procedure a fresh appliance was placed on the patient's colon conduit stoma"
