Does anyone have any examples of what would distinguish a low vs. a moderate risk of morbidity? It seems so subjective.

welcome to the wonderful world of coding!!! one of the greyest professions on the planet!! low risk would be no drugs or sx planned, follow up labs and/or imaging, etc. moderate would be non-chemo drugs, non-opioid drugs, procedures with no global days with risk factors, 90 day global surgeries with no risk factors, ect. the debate between minor & major procedures can also cause issues. more grey area!!
