Hi all,

One of the providers in my company is inquiring if our LPN can administer sedation medication under her direction. My thought is no because that is beyond the scope of a LPN. Can someone please clarify this for me? Thanks in advance for your time and help.

I'd recommend you check with the board of nursing in the state where your LPN is practicing - they are the ones who determine what is within the scope of any particular license. In my experience, these agencies are helpful and will likely give you this information over the phone if you call them.
