It appears that without any further qualifiers, I am unable to code PMH of "lupus." I do ER coding, and I am finding "lupus" quite frequently in the PMH, but without a qualifier, I'm not sure how to code it. This is what my encoder says:

* Anticoagulant
* Discoid (local)
* Erythematosus (discoid) (local)
* Exedens
* Hydralazine
* Nephritis (chronic)
* Nontuberculous, not disseminated
* Panniculitis
* Pernio (Besnier)
* Systemic (SLE)
* Tuberculous
* Vulgaris

Am I correct in assuming I can't code it based simply on a statement of "lupus"?

Z86.2 Personal history of diseases of blood and blood-forming organs and certain disorders involving immune mechanism??
