Wiki Malunion Lateral Epicondyle excision

Physician is stating 24140. Would this be correct, or is this for infection? Trying to get authorization so I have no op report.

the code is not for infections only, it can be used for the partial excision of bone.

My questions would be:

is there a nonunion/malunion code that may more appropriately fit?

what about an arthrotomy with removal of loose body perhaps?

there are a couple of different ways this case could potentially go.

I went over the same scenarios, but this particular physician is "always right." I will just put the code through that he wants and go from there.
