new to working with managed care plans and medicare billing: can anyone help me? on cms site, having no luck where to go to find information.

What kind of information are you looking for? Is this for MedAdvantage plans? Are the managed care plans primary or is Medicare primary?

If you have a Medicare Managed Care Plan (usually called a "Medicare Advantage" plan), you will bill the insurer if PPO, or the IPA if HMO. This is a replacement plan for regular Medicare Check the patient insurance card; the medicare eligibility page (for my carrier) doesn't always have enough information other than the fact that there IS another plan involved.
