Can someone please tell me how to bill for PPD planting? We are currently performing a lot of PPD test administration to our population and have not billed. We are using V74.1 as the diagnosis code which is not payable. Is there a code to rule out TB that can be used?

In my opinion, if the provider is trying to "rule out" tuberculosis then I would just code the symptom(s).

We code 86580 with V74.1 and don't have a problem receiving payment.
