Wiki Mass confusion!

Ok I am seeing so many posts about none of us knowing what to code and how limited we are on resources. I personally think it is time we challenge AAPC to help supply us with some information. I have been coding this for 6 years and have NO CLUE what I am doing now. If AAPC can provide 2013 coding updates for (OB/GEN, Orhto and spine) then why can't we get a speciality specific update as well???? Also why doesn't AAPC recognize MH as a specialty for an exam? To me this has been much harder to code for now than some of the other specialities that I code for. Someone please help or provide with with my own padded room! OK end of rant! Thanks

Mass Confusion

Let us know exactly how we can help you. Although CMS has not come out with any additional information on the new BH codes, the only thing you have to go by is AMA. However, there have been about three MAC that have put out LCDs on the new codes and for what I have read they a mimicing AMA.

I don't code BH but was asked to help someone who does with the new codes. I think this APA site has great information and I particularly liked the crosswalk. Hopefully this helps someone else.
