I have a family practice physician that is adding massage therapy by a LMT. Does the provider need to add the GP modifier to the claim? Thankyou.
 
I wouldn't unless its one of the modalities used under a Physical therapy plan of care (ie more than just massage). Also please note Massage is not covered by most payers so you will need to investigate that. Make sure you get waivers too if its not covered.
