I am trying to decide if during antepartum care, a patient with a previous cesarean is seen and in the HPI it is mentioned the patient had a hx of cesarean but there's no complication, nothing in the exam, nothing to suggest a problem nor do they mention it under risk.... would I code O34.21x on this visit simply because she's pregnant and had a previous cesarean. Everything in me screams no I would not. But CC kind of implies that you would. It also suggests that the hx of code is only for a non pregnant patient. Just a history of doesn't seem enough to me to support the listed condition as a "reason for hospitalization or other obstetric care of the mother". I feel like there should be more.
