Does anyone know if Mcr still requires a Phusicians office to prescribe electronically or we can go back to paper scripts? My Dr was told we didn't have to Escribe anymore and he would really like to go back to old school. Thanks

The eprescribe program (that used the G8553 code) is no longer available to gain incentive. However, if your doctor will be attesting to Meaningful Use under the Medicare program, he needs to continue to escribe--that is still a required measure. Not sure about the Medicaid MU program.

Hope that helps!
