Anyone have any resources to point me towards that can help with MDM leveling and diagnosis' - not just the general 2023 changes that seem to be available everywhere- I have a decent grasp on E/M coding. I have a new position where I am looking at undercoders in all specialties to find opportunities for higher coding and I am struggling with understanding diagnosis codes and where they "sit" with MDM. Would regular ICD focused webinars or the like be enough? Or should I be looking at something else that would help me understand these connections. I know MDM is based on the providers documentation and how well they associate risk to the diagnosis/treatment but I am looking for something that would better help me understand what I am reviewing so I have a starting point with these providers. I come from a world of ortho, dermatology and OBGYN coding so I am in the weeds when I get to cardiac and neurology! Any help is appreciated.
 
Hi there, I would look for specialty-specific webinars for E/M coding.
