Hi! I'm looking for recommendations for MDM training. I'm currently an anesthesia coder and will be coding for general surgeons in the Trauma unit. I haven’t coded MDM in several years and not much at all since the implementation of the new 2021 E/M guidelines. While I’ve reviewed the 2025 updated guidance thoroughly, I think a structured training or workshop would really help solidify my understanding—especially when it comes to applying the guidelines consistently.

If anyone has suggestions for courses, webinars, or other resources that helped you get back up to speed, I’d greatly appreciate your input. Thanks in advance!
 
Some of the MACs have on-demand training for E&M, pretty basic but since you have some background they will make sense. FirstCoast has some:

Check out https://namas.co/ and on YouTube, but you can also sign up for their newsletter that provides great tips, they may be accessible online/archived.
