Just wondering where some of you place the administration of a Inter-articular Cortisone injection at on the Management portion of the risk table? Low or Moderate and why? I feel that it would be low, when you compare it to the other items listed within the low risk, vs the items listed in moderate , it would seem a cortisone injection is not as risky as a elective major surgery or even a minor surgery so putting it in the low make more sense but looking for other opinions and maybe some supporting documentation to present to a physician.

I would say moderate risk applies. The cortisone is a prescription drug and the admin of it is a minor procedure so per the risk table either of those would still fall under moderate risk. To support it further, the diagnosis they are treating would probably be a worsening chronic condition which would also fall under moderate risk. Hope that helps!
