We bill alot of urine drug testing and we use icd 9 codes v58.69 and v58.83. Im wondering how these to codes fall into the mdm. Would I count them as 2 or more stable chronic illnesses?

I would not use these codes for the chronic illness. If the reasons or conditions for the drug therapy are documented, then I would use those. But not simply because of long-term Coumadin use, etc.
