How often do you need to get a referral from the pcp for an established patient with carolina access medicaid? I have been told they need a referral once a year, but is that for a patient that has not been in a certain period of time or does the same apply for everyone?

You would need to check with your Medicaid office, some of the referrals are only good for 1-3 visits and some are good for 6 months. Good Luck.
