If we employee a medical assistant that performs duties such as blood draw or injections, may we code and report that to insurance and would we use a 99211 for this encounter?
Thank you

There are specific CPT codes for blood draws and injections so I would use them. If the provider just needs the patient to come in for a dressing change, blood pressure check or something like that, then you would bill 99211.
