I have been searching online to no avail. We have some patients who saw one of our dietitians as a group. We are billing 97804 and this code is billed in units for every 30 minutes. These group MNT patients were seen for 1 hour and 45 minutes (105 minutes total). Would this be billed as 2 or 3 units? Is 2.5 units possible? I have found guidelines for timed billing of 97802 and 97803 regarding the exact amount of time a patient was seen, but cannot seem to find this same info for 97804.
If someone could direct me to guidelines on this, it would be much appreciated!
