I'm having trouble finding definitive answers regarding medical nutrition therapy services done by a registered dietician at an FQHC. I've searched CMS and Novitas and can't find what I need. Are MNT services done by a registered dietician at an FQHC only billable to MCR/MCD if the patient has had a face to face visit with the provider that day? Or are the MNT services billable if there's a provider on site? I find contradicting info and I cannot locate a "billing guide" for FQHC services anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
