Hello,

Our practice bills out for 97802 which is Medical Nutrition Therapy, we are not getting reimbursed for it. Does anyone else bill out for this service, if so how are you using a modifier? I've noticed some commercial insurances do pay, but some don't.

recommend nutritionist only

we were using it as Hedis measure in 2017 but upon further research it is not allowed by any of my state medicaids unless provided by a liscenced nutritionist. And in 2018 we stopped. we still meet the measures by using z71.3 and the bmi dx for the other measure ? gcode ages 3 thru 17
