Medical termination follow up (Beta HCG Quant)

Hello,
Our office recently started doing Medical/Pill terminations. I have been getting denials on the bloodwork (Beta HCG Quant) we have them do 2 weeks afterwards to make sure it worked. We have been using Z33.2 and from what I've searched that is what is recommended to use. (Even though that states, Encounter for elective termination of pregnancy) The denial is saying, not the same date as the termination consent date. I've thought about trying Z09, but that would probably deny as well. Thanks for your advice. Desiree

Hi,
Are you billing an S0199?
My understanding is S0199 includes all office visits, ultrasounds and lab work to confirm the gestational age and the confirm the pills worked.

I have been billing E/M with modifier 25, with the drug codes S0190 and S0191. I will have to look into that code. Thank you for your reply!
