A Medicare patient was given a Hepatitis A&B vaccine shot which would be code as 90636 but what would be the Administration code for this? I see the Adminstration code G0010 for the Hep B but no listing for the Hep A. Does this G code cover both A & B?

Medicare does not have a specific administration code for Hep A and B Combo. Only the following vaccines are covered under Medicare:

- Influenza
- Pneumo
- Hep B

In this case you would code 90471. More than likely you will be denied for the combo code
