Hello,
I am attempting to bill office visit code 99213 performed in a Public Health Family Planning Clinic (place of service 11) for a Family Practice physician (provider code 8) to Medicare. I received denial code CO-170 (denied when performed by this provider type). I have attempted on numerous occasions to contact Novitas and have been unsuccessful in getting any additional information. Are there any coder/billers out there that are billing Medicare successfully for a Public Health Clinic that could give any input?
