Now that ICD10 is in effect, has anyone else had any Medicare denials for services not covered when considered routine? We are billing established office visits with 92014 codes H35.31 (macular degeneration) and H40.1233 (low tension glaucoma severe. These are not routine diagnosis.
I was just wondering if anyone else is having this issue?
 
I received a message from the American Optometric Association saying that there had been reports of denials by some Medicare carriers of the 92xxx codes and that they were being reprocessed for payment.
