APPARENTLY EFFECTIVE 1/1/13 MEDICARE WILL NOT PAY FOR PA'S OR NP'S TO PERFORM XRAYS!!! WE ARE AN ORTHOPEDIC OFFICE AND THIS IS A HUGE HIT FOR US!!! ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH THIS? ANY SUGGESTIONS??

They will pay for the professional component done by a PA.APRN. You may have to split bill. Bill the professional part under the NPP with a 26 modifier and the TC under the M.D. Radiology procedures only require "general supervision" so this may be a solution.

You should probably check with your Medicare carrier first to see if they will allow this type of billing.
